Drew's First Photo Shoot

Go to this link and look at the pictures we had made a few weeks ago. Amy Kelton, a photographer in Sherwood, took them. She's fantastic! For those of you that would want to order any, just call me and we'll add you to our order.

It's too hot for clothes!

Drew decided today that it was too hot to wear clothes! After he ate we put him in his swing like this and the next thing we know, he's completely passed out. He looked like such a big boy that I couldn't resist the photo-op!

Belle's Playdate

Belle is our first baby...our black pug. She's 7 years old and normally very lazy. That is until she gets a friend to play with! Roma (Jamie and Matt's dog) came with them to visit a few weeks ago and Belle loves to play with her. Roma is much younger, so Belle is usually worn out for several days after they leave, but she has a blast in the meantime. They wrestle and chase each other until they are just worn out. It's so cute! Belle has been neglected since Drew was born. She was always my baby and I took her everywhere and spoiled her rotten. Now I think she's sad because there is someone else who takes up more of my cuddle time, but she's been really great with the baby. She loves him and loves to cuddle with him. She puts up with him pulling her ears and her tail and is always really gentle. Such a good girl! I love her very much!

Go Razorbacks!!!

My grandparents have this stuffed hog that marches and plays the fight song. We've never played it for Drew before, but my grandaddy tried it the last time we were over there. Drew LOVED it! He danced to the song and hugged and kissed it. It was so cute. I have a cute video, but I haven't figured out how to post those yet! I guess he really is already a little Hog fan!!!

Baby Food 1 - Mommy 0

Today, I was feeding you in your swing...note to self-not a good idea...and you insisted on helping me feed you. The only way you would eat was if you had a spoon of your own and put it in your mouth when I put the spoon with food in your mouth. So needless to say, the squash and rice cereal ended up all over you, me, and the swing. But we had fun doing it. You have pretty much figured out how to feed yourself, but you won't let me put anymore food on the spoon. You just want to keep putting it in your mouth empty! At least you aren't picky about what food you eat. You will pretty much eat anything. You get that from Daddy!

Sylvan Hills Class of 1997

Well, it's been 10 years since Brian and I graduated. We went to his class reunion two weeks ago and it was so much fun. We had a Meet and Greet at the Flying Saucer on Friday night and Saturday night we went to Cajun's for dinner and some more good times. This was a really fun weekend for me because I know a lot of people that Brian graduated with so I had my own friends to play with and he didn't have to babysit me or have me follow him around! He has tons of great people in his class and I got to meet some people I've heard all about for the last 6 years. It was really fun to put some faces with names. We had a great weekend and I know Brian loved seeing all his old friends. Now I'm really looking forward to my reunion next month. I can't believe it's been 10 years. I don't feel that old!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIAN!

Okay, so I'm a little behind in the blogging! Brian's birthday was several weeks ago, but I couldn't let it go by unposted! Brian turned the big 28! He finally caught up with me!! We've had so much fun over the last 3 weeks. Brian hurt his leg at work and has been on light duty working 8-5 Mon-Fri so he's been home every night and all weekend. It's been a really fun treat for all of us. I know he's ready to go back to his regular schedule, but it's really made this part of summer extra fun for me and Drew!
Brian,

You are such a fabulous husband and Daddy and we are both so lucky to have you in our lives. Even though I usually take you for granted, I want you to know that I thank God every night for bringing you into my life. You are everything I could've hoped for in a husband and I can't wait to see what the next year brings us. Every day I fall more and more in love with you and I know Drew does too. We love you so much!!! Happy Birthday!!!!

Martha, Drew, and Belle!
