Our first trip to the ER!

Well, we made it 3.5 years without a trip to the Emergency Room, but broke that streak yesterday with Drew. I got a call around 4:30 from the daycare saying the he was swinging on two bookshelves and fell and busted his chin open. I could hear him crying in the backgroud poor baby! So when I got there he had a big band-aid on his chin and was playing in the office. Poor little chin definitely needed stitches. Since Brian was in Conway, we dropped Davis off with Callie and Scott and headed to the ER at Baptist-Springhill. Brian actually beat us to the hospital so Drew was very happy to see his daddy. We had to wait FOREVER in the waiting room before going back to a private room. They put some numbing medicine on a gauze pad and taped it to his chin, but Brian still had to hold it flush and Drew did not like being forced to lie down. Then the doctor and nurses came back in and gave him a shot in the chin...OUCH! They put his arms in a pillowcase and wrapped him in a sheet to keep him for moving his arms all around and then we all had to help hold him still while the doctor tried to stitch his chin up. She did a really good job...especially since he was screaming, kicking, shaking his head all around. Poor baby, but he did really well!

Happy 60th anniversary Grandma & Grandaddy!

We celebrated my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary yesterday. We all went to church and then to Corky's for lunch. Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Susie both wrote really great speeches and Mom said some sweet things too. We are all just so lucky to have two people like them leading our family. They have so much love for each other and God and it spills over into everything they do and every relationship they have. There isn't anyone that has ever met them that hasn't had their lived changed for the better forever. My grandparents are the most loving, supportive, honest, precious people you will ever meet. They have 4 children, a daughter and son-in-law, 11 grandkids, 7 grand children-in-law, and 3.5 great-grandbabies (Baby Jack will be here in Sept). I love them both so much and I'm so lucky to have them as role models on how to live and love. Thank you for everything you've done for me and my family and everything you've taught me! I love you Grandma and Grandaddy!

Travs with the Harris family

We went to the Traveler's game with the Harris's on Saturday night and had a fantastic time. It was hot until the sun went down, but the kids had a great time. After my Drew finally finished being a whiny boy, he had a great time playing catch. Davis hung in there for almost the whole game and was thoroughly entertained by a little boy with a pom-pom. We haven't heard him laugh that loud yet! The girls are absolutely precious in their identical-ness! Despite some whining and crying, fighting over chairs and baseballs, spilled drinks (thanks to me), we had a fantastic time! We'll definitely do this again!

Happy Birthday Bailey and Brooklyn!

We went to River City Gymnastics for a birthday party for Bailey & Brooklyn on Saturday. Those parties are always so fun for Drew because the kids get to run, jump, swing, slide, fall into a foam pit, etc. He's always worn out when we leave there. The kids had a fantastic time!

Travs with the Harpers

We went to the Traveler's game with the Harpers (except for Hudson) a few weeks ago. It was really hot for a little while, but then it cooled down when the rain clouds rolled in. Then the bottom fell out!!! It poured and we had to make a break for the cover with 3 kids, chairs, strollers, food, drinks, etc. It was crazy but fun!

Happy birthday Paxton!

We went to Paxton's birthday party a few weeks ago. He had it at the LR Zoo and it was so much fun. You guys had cupcakes, a pinata, a train ride, and got to look at all the fun animals. Needless to say you and Davis were both extra tired and sweaty after that day!

Playtime

We had the Harpers (all except Clint) over about a month ago for some playtime. We had some tacos, cheese dip, and lots of fun. Ashton and Drew spent most of the night chasing each other around the house on his little train. Davis and Hudson slept most of the night despite the craziness of their big brother and big sister. It was so much fun...it always is!
