Sleeping off your birthday party hangover!

I thought this picture was so adorable! I took it the Sunday night after your birthday party. You were so worn out from playing all day Saturday and Sunday that you just couldn't take it anymore and crashed on the couch. You are getting so big that I can leave you on the couch or chair again. You have learned how to get down by yourself without doing a nose dive. You're getting to where you can do a lot of things by yourself and you really like to play now. You love playing with all the toys you got for Christmas and your birthday and can keep yourself pretty entertained.

A year old and forward facing!

You are officially a one year old! I can't believe it. This year has absolutely flown by. You are such a fun, sweet, brave kiddo. You are walking everywhere. You love going up and down the stairs. Unfortunately, you think you are supposed to go down stairs like a big person and not backwards or on your bottom. You get to ride forward in your carseat now and you think that is so fun! You love being able to see us and being able to look out the window. We've weaned you off your bottle and you're starting to do better with drinking milk out of a sippy cup even though you don't drink much. You don't eat much but you will still eat some baby food. You love Cheerios and crackers, but that's about all the big people food you will eat. We're hoping that since you aren't on formula anymore you'll start eating better. You are so sweet and funny. You are always making us laugh and you love to play with other kids. Especially ones that are just a little older than you. You love to follow them around! We love you so much and are so proud of you!

First visit to the horse races

Daddy and I took you to Oaklawn for your first horse racing adventure and you had a fantastic time! You love staring at people and this is the perfect place for that. Unfortunately it was too cold to go outside, but we did take you to the paddock to see the horses and you thought that was really neat. We didn't win anything, but we had a lot of fun. We actually went to the races on the exact same day last year...the day before we had you. So that's kind of a fun tradition!

Drew's 1st Birthday Party

Well, you had a great time at your first birthday party! We had lots of fun little friends there and family. You weren't all that interested in your cake, but you did like the icing. We were so proud of you for playing with everybody and you didn't get tired or frustrated once. You got lots of great clothes, books, movies, and toys. You even got your very own ball pit and slide! We still have to put that up, but you're going to love it! We can't believe you are already one and it's crazy that you've gotten so big so fast! We love you one year old!

One Year Old Photo Session

I promise I will post birthday pictures soon, but here is a link to his latest photo session. To anyone that is in need of a FABULOUS photographer, Amy Kelton rocks! She came to our house to take these pictures and we were so excited about how they turned out. She worked really well with my crazy TODDLER and really makes us feel like friends as well as clients. Enjoy!

When I go walkin...

You went on your first "walk" on Sunday night. You were really just playing in the front yard and the driveway, but then I took you walking down the street and you were hooked! I can't believe that you are big enough to go walking down the street just holding our hand. We still have to go pretty slow, but still! I love the picture of you and Daddy walking away from me. So adorable...my two boys!

Welcome 2008!

2007 was a FABULOUS year. Having you made it so much fun and it absolutely flew by. I can't believe this is how fast my life is going to go from now on. We spent New Years Eve at Tommy and Kay's with lots of fun kiddos. You made it until 11:30 and then woke up in time to ring in the new year. It was fun to kiss Daddy at midnight and then we got to have a Drew-sandwich kiss! You are the light of our lives and we can't wait for another great year! We also watched the Hogs play in the Cotton Bowl on New Years Day. That was fun too even though the game was sad! Hopefully that will be something better in 2008 too...our new coaching staff! I hope you get everything you want in 2008!!! Here are some fun pictures from the last few days!

Drew's First Christmas!!!

Your first Christmas was very busy, but very fun! These pictures go from our little Charlie Brown tree, to opening presents, to visiting Santa at Crews, to looking at the lights at the Enchanted Forest. You had a great time and were amazed with Christmas lights, Christmas trees, wrapping paper, and toys. You had the stomach virus, but you had a great time anyway...and passed it to everyone in the meantime! We loved watching you get excited over certain toys and playing with the bags and tissue paper. Your daddy got you your first baseball glove and ball and he was so excited to get it for you! He's been wanting to ever since he found out you were a boy. You did really well with all the traveling, no naps, and loud people in the two days of celebrating! We love you! Can't wait to celebrate more Christmases with you!

1st Razorback Basketball Game

We took you to your first Razorback basketball game on your 11 month birthday. You had a fantastic time! You clapped and danced to all the music they played and you paid attention a lot of the time. You liked staring at all the people and you really loved it when they called the hogs! It was really fun to share this experience with you even though we didn't win!

HAPPY 11 MONTHS!!!

Well, you're 11 months old! I can't believe it! I'm not really sure where to start because you do so much stuff that is funny right now! You laugh hysterically all the time! You think your daddy and Belle are the greatest things in the world. You like to dance anytime you hear music. You are officially a walker. You're getting pretty good and you even try to run sometimes, but that doesn't usually turn out well...you always fall. You have two teeth coming in. One on the bottom and one on the top. You are eating table food now, but you're pretty picky. You won't really try new stuff that well, but oh well. You aren't starving! You like anything bread-related and any kind of fruit, but that's about it. You love to play with anything that lights up or makes noise. You still aren't sleeping that well, but that's basically laziness on our part I think. You love to snuggle and read stories and talk. You say Mama and Dada and Belle. I think you are trying to say ball and bye-bye, but you don't say them all the time. You are so much fun and we are really looking forward to the next year of your life! You make our life so much sweeter!
