Well, we made it 3.5 years without a trip to the Emergency Room, but broke that streak yesterday with Drew. I got a call around 4:30 from the daycare saying the he was swinging on two bookshelves and fell and busted his chin open. I could hear him crying in the backgroud poor baby! So when I got there he had a big band-aid on his chin and was playing in the office. Poor little chin definitely needed stitches. Since Brian was in Conway, we dropped Davis off with Callie and Scott and headed to the ER at Baptist-Springhill. Brian actually beat us to the hospital so Drew was very happy to see his daddy. We had to wait FOREVER in the waiting room before going back to a private room. They put some numbing medicine on a gauze pad and taped it to his chin, but Brian still had to hold it flush and Drew did not like being forced to lie down. Then the doctor and nurses came back in and gave him a shot in the chin...OUCH! They put his arms in a pillowcase and wrapped him in a sheet to keep him for moving his arms all around and then we all had to help hold him still while the doctor tried to stitch his chin up. She did a really good job...especially since he was screaming, kicking, shaking his head all around. Poor baby, but he did really well!
