Drew's Baptism!

Sunday was a very big day in your life and a very proud day for me and Daddy! Not only was it your 6 month birthday, but you also got baptized! Since we are Methodist, we sprinkle babies and then you go through Confirmation Class in 6th grade to understand the church and learn more. You were so good and adorable and everyone loved seeing you up there. You had tons of family and friends there to watch and they were all so proud! The minister that baptized you was Dr. Guy Whitney and it was special because he was Mommy's minister in Searcy when I was in college. He's a good friend of your Great-Grandma and Great-Grandaddy and it was really neat to have him be a part of your special day. Also it was the very first baptism for our Associate Pastor Will Choate...so that was special for him. You did so good! You didn't even flinch when they sprinkled the water on you. Dr. Guy walked you around the whole sanctuary and showed you off and you leaned forward trying to look at all the people. Then when he was reading from his hymnal you kept babbling in his microphone and trying to grab the book. It was definitely different than they are used to because usually the babies are much younger than you were and they aren't nearly as entertaining!

Drew, we are so excited that you are beginning your Christian journey! We promise to help you grow up loving and respecting the Lord. We love you baby!
