Day in Searcy

We spent the night last weekend with my parents and Caroline and Drew had a blast running around in their yard. He even got to sit in a tree for the first time. How adorable is this little guy? He's getting so big!

Khara

One of Mommy's very best friends in the world came home this weekend for a quick visit. Khara and Brian were making their way across Arkansas this week after a wedding and we had dinner with them and her parents on Tuesday night. It's been almost a year since we saw each other, so we had a great time catching up. You sat on the floor with Khara's mom for like an hour playing with blocks!

*Notice that my hair is dark now...not a good picture, but I went brown.

You witnessed history last night

Well, Drew...since you were wide awake at about 11:00 last night you witnessed history. America (mommy & daddy helped) elected the first African American president. Barak Obama won the presidential election last night and mommy and daddy couldn't be happier. Just wanted this exciting news to go into your blog book someday since you won't remember this night! Love you son!

Well, it wasn't for lack of effort!

Bubba Lloyd didn't win the mayorial election last night, but it definitely wasn't for our lack of effort. The NLR Police and Firefighters definitely gave it their all. They stood outside nearly every morning for 2 months holding signs and knocking on doors to get the word out. And last night we even pulled out all the stops by having a cute dog and an absolutely gorgeous little boy sporting their Bubba Lloyd t-shirts at some of the polls. But that's okay! We'll just keep working for change in NLR!

Keeping our fingers crossed

It's election day and we are hoping for a new North Little Rock Mayor. Bubba Lloyd is running against Mayor Patrick Hays and we are looking for a changing of the guard. The firefighters need someone new in office that will support them a little more than in years past. We are even going to a watch party tonight at the FOP/Union Lodge. It's exciting seeing your daddy get so involved in politics. He has really been working hard to get the word out this year. So we're keeping our fingers crossed tonight!

I'm Batman!!

Drew was Batman for Halloween and he was so cute. Not a big fan of the costume at first, but it grew on him. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera in the car during the actual trick-or-treating. We rode on a hayride with some friends and had a great time!

Playdate with Ashton

We had the Harpers over on Saturday night for some burgers, kid playtime, and vacation planning. Ashton and Drew had a great time playing and climbing the stairs. They are only 4 months apart, but this is probably the first time that they have actually played together instead of beside each other. They are going to have so much fun this summer at the beach!
